evening all, thought id best say hi, I posted a pic of my beetle in the '64s thread but i thought i should start my own thread for somewhere to ask daft questions when i confuse myself (it's pretty easily done) so heres a couple of photos of the bug. thanks. i've been toop busy enjoying it to do much work on it or the van so far. I just edided my post to show the part i was asking about rather than another picture of the beetle (because im cack handed and clicked the wrong link)

The piece is a cover plate used in a beetle spare wheel well for access to the steering box

I have one at home which has a number on it. I will have a look and see if the number is the same.
