Hi, has anyone had any scam emails when trying to sell items on here? this is the response I got to after giving someone my phone number and address for collecting a bench seat I am selling - "Good Morning, Thanks for your details. The Payment has been issued out and will be on the way Today.I will email again to update you on when the Payment will be Delivered. Moreover, the payment you will be receiving comprises some extra funds which is for shipping so i will latter direct you on how that will be taken care of,that is not a problem at all after the payment is received and has Cleared. Do await my next email to know when Payment will be Delivered and also its very important you get back to me in this regard Today to let me know you have received and read this email and will await the Payment. I will look forward to read from you in this regard Today. Thank You. Johnson" [email protected]

They never bother me as they are so obviously a "generic" email that never mentions the article you are selling in the text...they usually say, "I am very interested in your product and would like to issue payment for it...blah blah blah" They go straight in the junk mail file and they never come back to ask why I haven't answered. They will have had an automatic program to paste that text into hundreds of emails the same day and only have to get a couple of responses to make it worth while. I used to be sympathetic to people who got ripped off like this but there is so much information about scammers tricks out there now, it just amazing some still fall for it. Rest assured you've not been targeted...it's just those who respond who are.
