guys I have purchased a banner 6v battery. Do I need to charge the battery before I use it? thanks Dave

If you had to add battery acid then it should be good to go straight away.

the battery came topped up. When I put it onto the car the battery was dead Dave

I thought that I would ask the question just in case it's a faulty battery. Thanks Harveypj

I guess for mail order a charged battery would be a potential fire hazard. Good luck with the charge up:smile:

Guy's, just to let you know my problems turned out to be the starter motor bush worn out & not making a good connection. Once I repaced the bush the car started up first time & probably didn't need a new battery as the old one was fine too Dave
