I know it's a bit of a pain opening an Oval glove box sometimes, and i thought of one of these as a solution.......I think i'll just struggle on:wink:

Crazy prices?? I have found some notes that I made at the VW Classic in California about 20 years ago.
Below are some of the prices being asked at the show.

Beetle.
W deck lid.... £202,
Hazet tool kit (VW logo) year?....£675
T air cleaner.....£310
Heart lights, pair, used.......£295
Oval speaker grill with clock, used....£354
Empty tool box........£168
Hazet plug spanner........£57
Two,new, late semaphores.......£216

Type 2
American spec bumpers, good......£40..£60
Double cab truck sides, fair....£33!
Alloy bumper trim (samba) full set.....£84
Split van doors, pair!!....£44

Vehicles
67 Samba, mint........£11,486
63 Cabrio,good........£4726
65 Double cab, lowered, good.....£1891
51 Split Beetle, v good.........£8783

Prices were converted from dollars at the time and I cannot remember the exchange rate.
Bus stuff seems reasonable,Beetle stuff not so and vehicles....well....cheap compared to the parts??

Make of that lot what you will.

Remember..........20 years ago.

Rudy....has moved from Albania well and truely into the past.

Were Albanians allowed into the USA 20 years ago??

 :d

---

Yep they were but Immigration Screening was pretty stringent...this is one of Rudy's holiday snaps:

---

Thanks John. Always rely on you to lower the tone!!

Did they do that to Albanian women too?

 ET

Just for fun I think!

Not saying the price is crazy, but it will be interesting to see what this ends on.....

"I WILL NOT OVERCHARGE ANYBODY" Don't worry, they'll do that themselves. Very nice, though.

£530
Imagine if the buyer's wife suggested spending £530 on a new light for their living room, instead of one for the garage.:omg:

Just flicking through a car mag and came across this any one know it ??/

That's who it's up with again in a march 2012 mag.

Andy W

Strange it must be an out of date ad, as if you scroll down to the comments on their site theres a recent one from the new owner.

---

Hi chrisbug91 did not read that bit  It must have been sold before the mag went to print:smile:

Andy W

I wouldn't spend £20k on that, not that I have that sort of money lying around anyway 😞

---

I'am with you on that. I can think of better things to spend 20K on

Andy W

Remember that?

Well this one trumps it by some way:-
