Please don't laugh! I just got an all original 1959 without any bulbs in the
taillights or blinkers. I've been to 3 parts shops to to avail.
the last one sent me home with 1054's for all of them. They don't fit.
Does anyone know the part numbers?
Yes. I'm a girl. But the 3 sales people were men!

Hi, welcome to the forum.
If it's an original '59, I assume it's still running 6 volt electrics?

If it is, you'll have trouble finding the right bulbs at the normal Car parts places like Halfords.

An original European '59 will also have semaphores with no flashing indicators at the back - It should just have two small, oval shaped red lights with a single twin-filliment bulb in each for stop and tail lights.

You can get the 6 volt bulbs (55-67) from most of the vintage VW parts people including https://www.status-vw.co.uk

Hope this helps?

thanks for your reply. It is a 6 volt. It does have oval taillights, no semaphores. I was told it was a '59. The original warranty work says it
was delivered 4-9-60.

Thanks!

Go to GSF (German, Swedish & French Carparts) they are pretty good, stock 6V bulbs and cheap, plus they have depots all over the country.
